During our fabulous Holiday Dinner, we officially welcomed Mrs. Colleen Ayala and Dr. Brett Prate to our club.

 

Thank you Highland and Timber Creek High Schools Interact Students and Advisors for making the floats and participating in the parade this year.  The Highland Wrestling Team stepped up to help build Highland's float and the Highland High School Parade Participants really stepped up when they gave Timber Creek High School the use of their assigned generator.  None of this would have been possible without the Gloucester Township Department of Public Works providing us the garage space to build the floats and the use of a generator.  Thank you to the Gloucester Township Police Department escort to the parade assembly location. 

 

Thank you to American Heritage Federal Credit Union's Glendora Branch for sharing some of the food they collected in their Food Drive with our Club for use in our Pantry Boxes.  Rotarian and Branch Manager Dana Pinto brought the food for distribution to needy families.

 

Chef Josh from Timber Creek HS hosted a “Friendsgiving” last week, teaching the culinary students how to prepare a Thanksgiving meal. Our club provided the funds for the food. The students did the work.

 

The Timber Creek Interact Club was a great help to us today, preparing food bags for 100 families in need to celebrate Thanksgiving.

 

Congratulations to J. Denise Coyne for having her name added to the Rotary Plaque at Citizen's Appreciation Park.  It is very well deserved.  Denise has had a substantial impact on our club.  Among her any accomplishments, she obtained grant money to sustain us through the pandemic and she is the driving force behind our Food Pantry program.  She is a very valuable member of our club.

 

We had a great turnout of volunteers from the Interact Clubs at CCTS, Highland HS, Timber Creek HS and the Highland Jr. Air Force ROTC. Be sure to visit Historic Gabreil Daveis Tavern during Camden County History Month for the Colonial Day Events (October 8th & 22nd).

 

 

This year's RYLA participants described their experience at our meeting.

 

Thank you Timber Creek Interact Club and the students who donated food for contributing to a successful food drive.  It will help us keep our Pantry Boxes stocked.

 

We held our Changeover Event on June 14, 2023.  Past President Steven Bogan has stepped up once again to take on the role of Club President.

On April 19, 2023 our Club delivered numerous items to the C.W. Lewis School Store in support of their Lewis Bucks program.

 

Local Interact students helped clean up the pathways at Gabriel Davis Tavern on April 8.

It was great to meet our RYLA candidates from Highland High School, Julia and Alyssa, along with Interact Advisor Miss Pew.

Our Club suffered a great loss with the passing of founding member James W. Lilley, Jr..  He had an accomplished career and a rewarding retirement. Jim brought a wealth of institutional knowledge and humor to our meetings. He will be missed. 

Thank you to the Rotarians and the Timber Creek Hight School Interact Students for participating in this year's Trunk or Treat at Lt. Col Sam Siler Park.  An extra thanks to the Interact Students for giving out countless pieces of candy.

The Gloucester Township Rotary Foundation sponsored the construction of an elevated walkway on the pathway from the Gabriel Daveis Tavern to the Timber Creek.

 

Congratulations to Steven Bogan and Todd Saler for having their names added to our plaque at the Citizen's Appreciation Ceremony on October 8, 2022.

Rotarians and Interact Students were greeted by the Mayor during the cleanup at Gabriel Daveis Tavern.

We installed a new Food Pantry Box in the second overflow parking lot at the Gloucester Township Senior Center on 1575 Hider Lane in order to provide free food for those in need.  We have additional Pantry Boxes at Highland and Timber Creek High Schools.

District Governor Chuck Watson visited our Club on September 1 2021.

 

 

The Club made three mini food pantries for placement at Highland Regional High School, Timber Creek Regional High School, and Overbrook High School.  We hope the Interact Clubs at the schools will keep them stocked for those in need in these difficult times.

 

A special thank you to Rich and Denise Coyne for their excellent work in building and painting the pantries.

District Governor Joanne M. Ventura had her first club visit with our club on July 31, 2019.  We were a friendly audience, having known her for some time.  She presented Club President George Hill with this year's banner.

 

President Tom Storer passed the torch to incoming President George Hill at our Changeover on June 19, 2019.  MainStage students performed a wonderful show beforehand.

 

 

Fun was had by all at our Annual Ralph Carter Fun Day.  The Interact Students were very helpful chaperoning the luck fourth and fifth graders.

The Gloucester Township Rotary Foundation is hosting the North American Comedy Tour at their Beef & Beer Event on Saturday, September 30th.  Come out for a night of laughs with Comedians John Harris, Brian Jenkins, Chris Williams, Natalie Levant and Paul Ward.  Ticket prices are only $45 and includes dinner, desserts, beer and wine, and can be purchased from any member of the Gloucester Township-Pine Hill Rotary Club.  Memorabilia for Charities will be there with some great pieces that are perfect for an office or man-cave.

 

The fun begins at 6:30 at Palace Catering, 109 N. Black Horse Pike, Blackwood, NJ 08012.  We hope to see you there!

Each year, Gloucester Township Council and its Mayor celebrate Black History Month by honoring outstanding African-American members of our community.  This year, Rotarian George Hill was among the citizens recognized for their dedication to our community and commitment to service.  George is seen here receiving the Award from Council President Orlando Mercado.

Every year, our club supports the Annual Gloucester County Veteran's Picnic at the County 4-H Fairgrounds. It is co-sponsored by the People-to-People Foundation and the Rotary Club of Mullica Hill. As always, there were hundreds of vets and their families present. The day was filled with entertainment, family events, exhibits and great food! Our club was represented by Club President Michael Van Stine, President-Elect Linda Nese and new member Chris Shinn.

 

Assistant Governor Grant Bayer presents a certificate honoring long time member Herm Engelbert for his distinguished service.  Herm's name will appear on Rotary's plaque at Gloucester Township's Citizen's Appreciation Park this fall.

District Governor Ulysses James visited our club at our August 24, 2016 meeting.  He swore in recently admitted new members Bryan McDonough and Jeffrey Shinn.  He honored James Lilly, Jr. and Joe Castor for their long, distinguished service to Rotary.

 

The Gloucester Township-Pine Hill Rotary Club Foundation held its annual Golf Outing on Monday, August 15, 2016 at Trump National Philadelphia.  The event was a great success despite the heat.

President Elect Steven Bogan placed Club name plates on the shelves purchased by our Foundation with a District Grant.  Steve handled the paperwork required to obtain the grant and took the lead in assembling the items.  The name plates were made by Highland High School students.

The Gloucester Township Rotary Club support efforts both locally and internationally. Here at home, in Gloucester Township, we provide support in many ways, including:
